Hello Everyone. Still here with fires burning all around us. We are all safe in the little haven of Lagunitas, the very place where the infamous beer was born…Our air quality has been affected for over 25 days now. This has made it conductive to staying inside and working on my newest pandemic piece, a console table. These beautiful tables serve as a plethora of aesthetic and functional purposes. The origins of these beautiful tables originated are French and Italian. Designing as I go, I will update as I put or of the piece together.
"Tree"
The sides to this beautiful piece are buckeye burl. The wood comes to me as a piece that is about 10” x 24” and approximately 1/4 inch thick. These pieces are resawed and book-matched together, making that beautiful design, that to me resembles a tree. The top is done in the same process. The drawer fronts are also buckeye burl with borders of curly maple and a cock-bead of wenge, a dark African wood. Please inquire about pricing. Enjoy!
working
This is my expression of beauty showcasing what I feel is one of natures most amazing of many gifts.
Wood top: buckeye burl, banded with purpleheart and wenge. The checker board is purple heart and wenge. Outer rim is tiger maple and purple heart striping.
I started working on my next piece!
I have so much time to spare now that I retired that I started to work on a new piece, found great wood that I’m sure will complement each other in a great way, now its time to start designing!
